FLUIDS FOR INDUSTRIAL TRANSMISSIONS

Today you can't just reach for the old standby, ATF. The red fluid is now known as Dexron-Mercon. And it has been joined by UTH (Universal Tractor Fluid), motor oil, and C-4 hydraulic fluid.

The lip seals, seal rings, and oil seals of the current industrial transmission styles are sensitive to chemical additives. The correct fluid is essential to long transmission life.

If you have any questions regarding the proper fluid used in a specific style of industrial transmission, please call* AIT.

Or feel free to email us at *.

You will need to furnish both the model number of the lift truck and the transmission part number for accurate research.

* AIT services only industrial transmissions, forklifts, and small construction equipment. Please limit your inquiries to these styles. We are not a significant source for large construction machinery or automotive technical support.
